Gardening in our country has a long tradition, rooted in the ancestors of farmers. For many centuries, people have bred gardens and orchards, for so many years they have resisted a large army of insects, shamelessly devouring and damaging the fruits of their hard work. Insects dominated the Earth long before the appearance of mankind due to truly limitless adaptive abilities. Now they quickly adapt to the pesticides, so there is a need for new insecticides. Well proved themselves in the fight with Medvedka chemicals - cuts and others.

Who is the bear
Medvedka is a large digging insect, a close relative of crickets and grasshoppers. The length of the dark brown body (excluding whiskers) reaches 5 cm, hard chitinous chest shell protects the head. A pair of forelimbs is similar to those of a mole, since it has a similar application - digging underground tunnels.
Often found in the European part of Russia, it prefers loose, sunny, moist soils. Almost all the time is under the ground, rarely crawling to the surface, and even at night. Overwinter in deep, up to 2 meters, holes, likes warm compost, manure. Pay attention - exactly with manure often travels to the gardens this pest.

What eats in the garden
Medvedka is a predator eating worms and other insects. For example, when keeping a bear in captivity (yes, it happens), they don’t eat tubers and berries badly, but you can’t drag them away from crustaceans from crushed meat.
The roots of tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, cabbage, peppers, berry bushes are damaged. Tubers of carrots, beets, potatoes are disfigured by tunnels. Its destructive activity leads from May to August. It is worth noting that fragrant plants - garlic, parsley, calendula, marigold, alder does not tolerate and passes by.
How to deal with it
There are, relatively speaking, mechanical and chemical control measures. Apply them preferably all at onceby agreeing with the neighbors about an agreed "anti-prospect" action. Exterminate the pest on the site completely possible only in 2-3 years.

How to bring popular methods
Mechanical (folk) methods are based on the life cycles of the insect.
- It is known that polar bears winter in manure, which, when decomposed, produces heat. Therefore, in early August, prepare fossa traps about 40 cm deep with pereperemym manure. Pests creep there for the winter. With the arrival of the first frosts, these traps are scattered, the caught medvedok destroy.
- Sometimes the weather comes to the rescue of people. The increased bacterioses develop from moisture and moisture in the bear and they die.
- Along the perimeter of the site plant garlic, marigolds, stick alder pegs with bark.
- In the wells with seedlings put (something one to choose from): pieces of fish (a sharp smell of decay), garlic clove, a handful of dry marigolds or onion peel. It is possible on the perimeter of the beds to decompose these "goodies", sprinkled with earth.
- Potatoes will protect needles or wood ashpitted before planting a tuber.
- Pounded eggshell with unrefined vegetable oil laid out in a shallow groove around the seedling and sprinkled with sand. From such a "treat" the pest dies.
Chemicals and poison
Read the instructions for use of the selected drug and take precautions. Wear gloves, remove chemicals from children and pets.
Cuts - instructions for use

"Cuts" - broad spectrum insecticide actions. Rescues from a bear, fleas, ticks, locusts, bedbugs, wireworms. The active ingredient "fipronil" is relatively safe when it comes into contact with the skin, taken orally in large doses, it poisons the liver, kidneys, and the nervous system.
Fipronil was synthesized by French chemists, came to Russia in the mid-90s and helps to remove pests with his own hands. Insects have not yet developed resistance to the insecticidal properties of the drug. "Cuts" is made in the form of multi-colored granules, packaged in packages of 100/200 / 400g.
Rubit poison granules of red and green, resembling the roots and stems of plants, are imbued with an odor-attracting pest.
“Delicious” granules fall asleep in the grooves 3 cm deep and dug at a distance of about half a meter from each other. Sprinkle over with earth to prevent domestic birds, cats, dogs from eating them. You can lay the granules directly into the pest holes.
The validity of the drug is approximately 15-20 days. Apply the tool before planting seedlings and after 2 weeks, then as needed. Medvedka eats “Rubit” willingly and dies after 3 hours.
Consume chemical 300 g per hundred. The drug is good because it decomposes quickly to safe compounds.Plants grown in the area treated with Rubit do not contain harmful components.
Vofatoks

"Vofatoks" - another effective remedy for the bear. Mix the poison with 1 kg of boiled cooled grain or steamed feed, add 2 tablespoons of unrefined sunflower oil.
In the evening, spread the bait grooves dug to a depth of 3-4 cm. The soil should be wet. Sprinkle with earth on top.
Bowerin
“Bowerin” is a liquid form preparation containing spores and mycelium of the fungus “Beauveria bassiana”, pathogenic for a medvedka. Spores of the fungus enter the body of an insect, germinate there and release deadly toxins. Affected pests themselves become distributors of mushroom spores and infect their relatives.

Pest Prevention
A fence made of sheet iron or old linoleum, buried 50 cm below the ground, to enclose storage places for manure, compost, garbage.
Frequent loosening and digging the garden destroys nests and insect moves.Fight with the pest together with the neighbors in the area, so increases the likelihood to expel the pest from its territory.
Medvedka gives gardeners a lot of trouble. Use mechanical and chemical means of destruction in the complex. Conduct the soil in spring, summer and autumn. Secure plots with manure and compost. Toxic chemicals will not cause harm if you follow the instructions for use and safety.
